In the first four months of 2021, spice exports of Sri Lanka have rebounded sharply to earn USD 136.7 million which represents a 115.4% growth compared to the same period in the previous year. Various sources cite that Ceylon Cinnamon, which saw significant decline in demand due to the pandemic, is on the path of recovery. In 2019, Ceylon Cinnamon exports had a 16.5% decrease in value compared to the previous year.
